We are extremely happy for our patients. They have a fully hatched blastocyst and are ready for the transfer. Hopefully this blastocyst will turn into a precious baby after a 9 month journey. Fingers crossed.
Blastocyst embryo transfer has become a routine practice in recent years. Hatching is the term used when the blastocyst cells start to break through the shell (zona pellucida) of the embryo.
These group of hatched cells which, once free from its shell, will implant into the lining of woman’s womb and form the pregnancy.
It is found that spontaneously hatching/hatched blastocysts have a greater chances to implant and develop into a positive pregnancy. Hence we at Kiran Infertility Center Bengaluru select the one or two strongest looking ones for transfer.
